Locating the opportunity for this venture started in a trip to Montevideo in 2002 [Essay Post: La Playa Bikini]. My cousin was around 72 years old with a background traveling and investing around the world. After 4 home runs in NYC, Paris, Loire Valley France and Miami Beach David Leddick saw an opportunity in a century plus old building in La Ciudad, Vieja Montevideo right after the Argentine Peso Collapse.

Extraordinary opportunities are more perceptible to those who travel & seek real adventure. Humility and a continual retesting of ones thesis upon a “boots on the ground” was essential to locate our choice for California Sur & planned operations.

Plans are to bring drawings down to visit with Diego Montero Architecture for the design of 3 ‘Modern Wood’ towers floating above the ground on strong pole systems. Original inspiration was the Coastal Lifeguard towers and the need to go vertical above the Japanese Beer Garden.

T1 in front will have a tree going thru the 2nd floor for visual expansion in the front cafe. Open high quality windows and a back side Bushido Alley with lanterns will add the the lure of our operation. Goals to be extremely professional yet a bohemian adventure in a new world dining or grabbing some healthy beach provisions.

T H E / E D G E  > Ocean View wine bar with a Asian Fusion Taco / Tapas bar are options. Idea up top is to have a ‘roof garden’ feeling like the top of a building in Manhattan only to have an Atlantic Ocean View.

Implementation of an Asian stone garden commenced in February of 2012 with a ‘bottom up’ investment thesis. Three modern ‘Lifeguard Style’ wood towers are planed to be built with hard capital. Sketch & Designs 2 be posted along with a review with selected architectural firm in 2023.
